The daily hours for Stem Cafe Tech Camp are 9:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m with early drop off and late pick up accommodations provided for children who require it.
Early AM drop off is from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and late PM pick up is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Campers are encouraged to bring an early morning breakfast and a late afternoon snack if they choose to use this accommodation. We ask that parents respect these hours and drop/pick-up their child accordingly.

Yes, all camp staff are required by Maryland law to pass a criminal background check with fingerprint clearance checks.
First, complete current health data and emergency contact information on your child’s Health profile through Campdocs. This will enable us to make well-informed decisions regarding your child’s safety. Second, all children will be monitored by camp staff in accordance with Maryland State law. Camp staff are properly trained to take necessary safety precautions during camp hours and two, CPR certified counselors are on staff at all times.
Due to safety procedures, only individuals listed on emergency pick-up forms will be permitted to visit. Individuals visiting camp should make an appointment in advance and be prepared to share photo identification on the day of the visit. We request visiting family limit their visit to one hour and respectfully observe camp procedures and regulations.
Parents may enroll their children for camp starting January 29, 2016. Half of the total camp registration cost must be paid to reserve the child’s seat. Students who register during the early registration period through May 15 must pay tuition in full by May 15, 2017 in order to receive all applicable registration discounts. Parents who register starting May 16, 2017 must pay tuition in full immediately.
All tuition payments are final and non-refundable. However, tuition payment may be transferable to another session, as long as space in another session is available. All requests must be received via email to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 72 hours prior to the requested session change.
Yes, due to the partnership between Stem Cafe Tech Camp and CampDocs to make online registration as easy as possible, there is a $10 per week processing fee. Starting in the 2017 season, all camper health information will be collected electronically through Campdocs. There is a one time $4 processing fee for this service.

Transportation will not be provided for campers to arrive at the center. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child arrives safely to the location and that they are picked up promptly at dismissal.
Please be sure to specify all food allergies and any special medical requirements on the Health Profile during the Campdocs registration process. Proper steps will then be taken to make sure your child is cared for during camp hours.
As weather permits, campers will visit the pool once a week and will spend time outdoors daily. Activities, under counselor supervision, include team building, sport-like games such as Pull-Away and Capture the Flag or free time during afternoon breaks.

No, lunch will not be provided. We recommend that each camper bring his or her own lunch in a brown paper bag, as we do not have special equipment to heat/cook food or to keep food cold. For students who attend Extended Care, we suggest that snacks be prepared to ensure campers are well-fed and comfortable.
All camp related equipment and materials will be provided to the camper each day when they arrive. We encourage campers to bring a bagged lunch and snacks from home and to wear proper outdoor clothing. All campers are required to wear sneakers to keep their feet safe, as open toed sandals are not allowed during camp hours. Students should also bring a towel and swimwear on assigned pool days.
There is 1 camp counselor per 8 campers to ensure safety and productivity.
Students in grades K through 1 – 5 may attend STEM Cafe Tech Camp. This camp is for students who have completed Kindergarten. It is also for students who have completed 5th grade. Campers are grouped according to grade levels they have just completed. To ensure they are assigned age-appropriate activities, at registration, students should be listed in the grade they completed during the 2016/17 school year.
